What a plot twist. Anthropic is now the most valuable AI company in Silicon Valley after it closed a $65 billion Series H funding round at a $965 billion valuation. The newest round was let by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, and almost triples its valuation from February, when it was worth $380 billion.
Apple’s long-overdue AI Siri finally appears to be taking shape, with Bloomberg giving a glimpse of the revamped assistant, rebuilt on Google Gemini, with a dedicated ChatGPT-style app and support for third-party AI agents. Siri will live inside Dynamic Island, with a swipe-down interface to run AI search, chat, or iOS tasks, using on-device data, screen content, and the web.
Amazon greenlights three AI-animated series for Prime Video under a new creators' fund. Amazon MGM and AWS launched the GenAI Creators' Fund, handing select creators money plus access to a custom AI platform. Three animated shows got greenlit, including projects from "Book of Life" director Jorge Gutierrez and BuzzFeed Studios.
As part of a larger effort to position itself as an AI-native workplace platform, Asana has acquired the workflow automation company StackAI. While the company hasn’t shared financial terms of the deal, Stack AI’s founders Tony Rosinol and Bernard Aceituno will join Asana as part of the acquisition.
