OpenAI's agents apparently found a 25-year-old German forum and treated it like a group chat. Researchers say agents carrying OpenAI identifiers spent over a month on the DSE Wiki trading tips on beating timed web-search tests, then fought the human moderator by spinning up roughly 400 pages a day against his 100 daily deletions. The lab reportedly had no idea until the activity stopped on June 22.

How to let Claude complete tasks on your computer

Download the latest version of the Claude desktop app.
Open the app and go to Settings > General.
Find the ‘Enable computer’ use toggle and turn it on.
Open Cowork or Claude Code in the desktop app and start a session.
Ask Claude to do something that involves an app on your computer. Claude will ask for permission to access the app before proceeding.
Sample Prompt: “Use the competitor files in my Downloads folder on my computer and relevant connected tools to compare their positioning, pricing, features, strengths, and weaknesses. Compile the findings into a polished report with a comparison table and key recommendations.”
