Create Killer Small Business Ads With AI
Log in to both ChatGPT and Canva. In ChatGPT, go to your profile icon → Settings → Apps and Connectors. Select Canva and connect it to your Canva account.
Type in a prompt to create your poster.
For example:
“Create an 18×24 poster for Small Business Saturday for my boutique in Canva, showcasing fall fashion, accessories, and shoes. Highlight a limited-time 20% off event.”
ChatGPT will provide several poster options. Click one to expand it, then select Open in Canva at the top to edit the design directly.
Fine-tune your design in Canva. Free users can edit text, fonts, colors, images, and upload a logo. Canva Pro users can also create brand templates with preset fonts and colors. Use Canva’s color picker to match your branding.
To reduce manual editing, make your ChatGPT prompt more specific by including brand colors, logos, store names, event dates, and any promotional callouts such as “Exclusive in-store deals.” Specify style preferences, e.g., hyper-realistic images. Adjust prompts iteratively until satisfied.
When complete, open the design in Canva and go to Share → Download → PDF Print. Choose RGB for digital or CMYK for physical printing. You can also use Print with Canva.
