Perplexity has made an unsolicited $34.5 billion offer to acquire Google Chrome, far exceeding its own estimated $18 billion valuation. This move comes months after the AI search startup publicly stated it would pursue Chrome if regulators forced Google to sell. Google has not expressed any intention to sell, and no legal orders require it.

Figure has unveiled Helix, a new AI model that helps humanoid robots perform complex tasks like folding laundry with human-like adaptability. In a demo, the Figure 02 robot neatly folded towels using Helix’s ability to combine vision, language understanding, and precise control. The model can run on multiple robots at once, follow natural language commands, and handle unfamiliar objects without special retraining.
OpenAI rival Calude announced a 5x increase to the context window for its Sonnet 4 model, which refers to the amount of text or data an AI model can process in one go. Sonnet 4 can now handle around 2,500 pages of text (which could translate to hundreds of documents) or entire code bases with 75,000 lines of code or more.

How to use ChatGPT-5's new personalities
The GPT-5 update included four new personalities to choose from to adjust the tone and style of its responses:
Go to the ChatGPT website or the mobile app.
Click on your name/profile picture and select Customize ChatGPT.
Choose Cynic, Robot, Listener, or Nerd.
Cynic – Witty, sarcastic, and blunt; great for humor or direct advice.
Robot – Emotionless and precise; ideal for technical or concise responses.
Listener – Warm, empathetic, and relaxed; best for personal or supportive conversations.
Nerd – Curious, enthusiastic, and detailed; excellent for deep dives or explanations
