Meta finally built a model it wants to charge you for. Its Superintelligence Lab released Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full on Monday, the company's first swing at frontier models, scoring comparably to Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra on Meta's own card. Wonder runs $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output. Wonder Full is reportedly for Muse Code subscribers only. Gemini 4 Argon, GPT-6 Astra, and Claude Fable 5.1 all hit 53 on AA’s Intelligence Index, putting Wonder Full three points clear of the pack and two behind Opus 5.5.

Karpathy estimates that ~5000 people have access to true frontier AI inside labs, with capabilities like weeks-long agent swarms or solving open math problems

Microsoft unveiled Maia 300, its latest in-house AI chip, saying it expects 40% more AI output than leading GPUs on the same power — and plans to make Maia the main engine for running AI across Copilot and other products from 2027. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella called it “our biggest bet yet on our own silicon,” with the first multi-gigawatt Maia rollouts slated for next year.

Researchers got an AI model running across 15 TV boxes that cost about $55 each, using their combined computing power. A small model got another AI running on 8 of 9 hardware types, figuring out the setup and fixing technical problems along the way.
Character.AI has filed for bankruptcy as the AI companion company once valued at $1 billion looks for a buyer. Disney’s $20 million agreement covers selected assets, including a permanent license to some technology that Character.AI can also license to others. Character.AI plans to keep the app open during the sale but will shut it down if no buyer agrees to keep it running.
Google has spotted the gap in your wrist budget. The Fitbit Edge arrived Monday at $179.99, sitting between the slim Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch with an OLED screen for directions, notifications, weather and music. Google reckons its built-in GPS is 40% more accurate than the last generation, and says it recognizes and logs up to 100 activities on its own.
