How to run the new DeepSeek model locally
You can use the new DeepSeek R1 0528 Qwen 8B fully offline and locally by following these easy steps:
Go to https://lmstudio.ai and download the version for your OS (Windows/macOS/Linux).
In LM Studio, go to the search tab and type: “deepseek r1 0528 qwen 8b”.
The Bartowski version with the Q4_0 quantization is suitable for most devices. Once selected, just click Download.
Create a new chat and select the model you've just downloaded.
