OpenAI just released GPT-6.1 Terra, an upgrade to its mid-tier model with a focus on computer use, speed, and efficiency — now live in ChatGPT and OAI’s Codex coding tool at half the API price of the GPT-5.6 version it replaces. Terra finishes tasks over 3x faster than the pricier Astra and Sol, while tying Astra on computer use and nearly matching both on visual reasoning.

Most software factory advice reads as a shopping list. Pick a platform here, a CI system there, add an AI reviewer, and the factory appears. It does not work that way, because these layers are not independent purchases. Each one is close to useless, and sometimes actively dangerous, without the layer beneath it

This guide argues you probably need fewer subagents than you think. It shows when to fold planners, routers, and specialist agents back into one main loop using skills and tools, and when separate subagents still make sense for parallel work, fresh context, or overloaded toolsets.

Former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke launched Entire, a GitHub alternative designed for AI coding agents, replacing traditional code reviews with automated checks called Trails and claiming Git operations up to 89× faster than GitHub. The next-generation developer platform replaces the Pull Request with Trails, a new way to review and ship code, Git hosting up to 89x faster than GitHub, Continuous Memory for better agent performance, and CI integrations with Buildkite and Depot.
This tutorial breaks down how to scale a solo developer's AI agent workflow across an entire team. It walks through assigning clear ownership and standards to agents, setting up skill and agent registries, using readiness scorecards, and keeping humans in the loop for critical sign-offs.

Anthropic finally made it official, filing for its IPO after weeks of leaked S-1s. The filing shows $16.3 billion in first-half 2026 revenue, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, alongside an $80.7 billion net loss driven largely by noncash accounting adjustments. Its seven co-founders will hold 50.1% of voting power through a "Founder LLC."

SpaceX is leasing its chips the way you lease a company car. An Apollo-managed entity will buy the GPUs and server hardware, then lease them to SpaceX for roughly five years, in what the company calls the "largest committed GPU financing." The deal is expected to close by year-end, and CFO Bret Johnsen cites "less than one-year payback periods" on its AI spending.

Instagram spent years telling creators to think short, and now it wants you to think 90 minutes. The Meta-owned app said Monday it is testing "Features," videos up to 90 minutes long, in a clear swipe at YouTube's creator payouts. Boss Adam Mosseri admits the current payout program burns more cash than it earns back, and Meta calls long-term monetization plans early.

OpenAI said its unreleased models made new discoveries in physics, math, and computer science, including part of a Millennium Prize problem and a disproof of a decades-old computing assumption, weeks after its massive 722-paper math drop. In computer science, the models disproved the Exponential Time Hypothesis, a decades-old assumption that hundreds of papers rely on.

Microsoft just slid a very polite exit door under 60,000 desks. The company confirmed voluntary buyouts for employees at the VP level and below on select teams in the U.S., Canada, India and the U.K., with Xbox, Windows, Copilot and Finance reportedly taking part. Chief people officer Amy Coleman called the offer "new for us," with terms similar to standard severance.

How to automate restaurant reservation hunting with Grok Bot

Open Grok Bot > New chat > Create new Bot, then name it something like Reservation Hunter.
In the Bot’s first message, set the job, search area, approval boundary, and what information it may use for booking.
Sample Prompt: “Find a table for [party size] at [restaurant type / specific restaurants] in [location] on [date] between [time range]. Call restaurants if online availability is unavailable or unclear, ask about cancellations or waitlist openings, and record the restaurant, available time, seating type, deposit, and cancellation policy. Keep checking until you find a suitable option. Do not book anything without my approval.”
Let Grok Bot search reservation sites and call restaurants that don’t show live availability online.
Review the shortlist it returns, including the best available times and any booking conditions.
Approve your preferred option and let Grok Bot complete the reservation using the details you provide.
Save the workflow as a Skill and add a recurring Routine if you want it to keep checking for earlier or better cancellation slots.
