Google just announced new free AI features to Google Photos, allowing users to turn photos into videos and “remix” them into different styles like anime, comics, sketches, or 3D animations.

Note: The Photo-to-Video feature is gradually rolling out starting today to Android and iOS users in the U.S., while Remix will begin rolling out “in the next few weeks.”

Here’s how:

1. Open Google Photos and make sure it’s updated to the latest version.

2. Pick a picture from your photo gallery and choose one of two prompts — “Subtle movements” or “I’m feeling lucky” — to animate your photo into a full six-second clip.

3. Once it’s done, you can save and share your video.

4. The process is similar for the upcoming Remix option — just pick a photo and select a style.
