Anthropic launched Personal Finance in Claude, letting users ask questions using their own bank data. Claude can spot duplicate charges, unexpected fees, and rising bills, while creating personalized financial dashboards. Claude can analyze up to two years of transactions alongside account balances and credit limits. The beta is rolling out to US Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers, with read-only access that cannot move or invest money.

OpenAI's GPT-6 Cyber enters the AI hacking race as AI-powered cyberattacks spread worldwide, bringing advanced capabilities to find and exploit security flaws. GPT-6 Cyber found 81 previously unknown high-severity Firefox vulnerabilities, many already fixed by Mozilla. It generated 948 working Linux exploits in controlled research and proposed security fixes.
TikTok gave TikTok Shop its own app and barely made a sound about it. The stand-alone app is live on iOS and Android in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, with livestream shopping, in-app checkout and app-exclusive deals. It is unknown whether a U.S. rollout is coming, which would pit it against Amazon, Temu and Walmart.
Meta’s Muse can now take voice and video calls, letting users talk face to face with an expressive AI avatar. Muse can work on tasks during calls, with voice support for Meta’s AI glasses and Muse Charm planned. Voice and avatars are rolling out to US users on mobile, web, and Mac. Users can pick from hundreds of voices and use voice-only calls, a small avatar, or full-screen video.
AI-evaluation nonprofit METR just published a new report on its findings from 11 weeks of inside access to Anthropic’s internal data and interviews with staff, concluding the company’s AI progress is likely running about 2x as fast as before, mostly due to its own AI — though Anthropic redacted most of the strongest evidence.

How to Set Up a Claude Project for Your Business
If you paste the same background about your business into every new Claude chat, a Project saves you the trouble. It keeps your instructions and files in one place, so every chat inside it already knows your business.
Go to claude.ai/projects, or click Projects in the left sidebar.
Click + New Project in the top right corner.
Add a name and description, like "Customer emails". Claude can't see these, so they're just for you.
Click Set project instructions. Describe your business, your customers and your tone, then click Save instructions.
Click the + button in the project knowledge area on the right. Upload your price list, FAQs or a few past emails.
Start a new chat inside the project. Claude uses your instructions and files in every chat there.
Available on every Claude plan. Free accounts can create up to five projects.
