LLM evaluation tools help teams measure how a model performs across various tasks, including reasoning, summarization, retrieval, coding, and instruction-following. They analyze performance trends, detect hallucinations, validate outputs against ground truth, and benchmark improvements during fine-tuning or prompt engineering
SpaceX shared on X that it’s struck a deal artificial intelligence startup Cursor, obtaining the right to acquire the company for $60 billion later this year, or to pay $10 billion for work they are doing together. The companies are reportedly working together to create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI.
TypeScript 7.0 Beta is built on a completely new foundation, making it about 10 times faster than TypeScript 6.0. Its Go codebase was methodically ported from TypeScript's implementation rather than rewritten from scratch, so its type-checking logic is structurally identical to TypeScript 6.0. Despite being in beta, TypeScript 7.0 is highly stable, highly compatible, and ready to be used in daily workflows and CI pipelines.
Zero-shot text classification is a way to label text without first training a classifier on your own task-specific dataset. Instead of collecting examples for every category you want, you provide the model with a piece of text and a list of possible labels. The model then decides which label fits best based on its general language understanding.

Posting links to X through custom social media software just got a lot more expensive. On Monday, X significantly increased how much it costs to post a URL via the X API, which is what third-party tools use to hook into the platform. It now costs $0.20 when a link is posted, up from $0.01.
Meta is running a Model Capability Initiative (MCI) to record screenshots, keystrokes, and mouse activity on U.S. employees' work laptops, with no opt-out, to capture real data for AI training, sparking backlash within the organization. MCI's capture scope skews towards developers, logging activity in apps like VSCode, Metamate (Meta's internal AI assistant), Google Chat, and Gmail.
