U.S.-based Reflection AI, the $25B startup by former DeepMind researchers, just introduced Beam, an open-weight model for coding and agents that the company says competes with Chinese rivals at lower cost and greater efficiency. Reflection claims Beam needs a fraction of the computing power of Chinese lab Z.ai’s GLM-5.2, but achieves similar scores across reasoning, coding, and more.

OpenAI Dots lets you create an AI helper that can work with your apps, files, and tasks. Here is how to set one up:
Open ChatGPT on desktop or the desktop app.
Click Dots, create a new Dot, and name it.
Connect apps like Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Slack, or other supported tools.
Choose whether the Dot can access your computer and files.
Set permissions for what it can do automatically and what needs your approval.
Give it a task, such as checking your email and calendar each morning.
Track its work under In Progress, Scheduled, and Completed.
If you don't see Dots, it may not be available for your account or region yet. So, use a VPN
